One church has been chosen from each diocese to showcase their varied architecture, art, treasures and uses, from the delight in finding internationally renowned brasses and wall paintings in unassuming Trotton parish church (c.1300) to the ethereal ship-like Ripon College chapel, Cuddesdon, completed in 2013. The fresh and perceptive pen portraits of each church are illustrated with images by the acclaimed photographer Paul Barker.
